I knew it was too quiet...

Fun in the Sun!

Last Week I bought the great blow-up pool from Target. So Spencer had his friend Cora over to go "swimming." They were having a blast!Jaxon thought is was a lot a fun to splash like crazy. This meant I got really wet though!
I am sad this picture is a little bright because he was giggling like crazy and it was just so cute!

Just for fun!

So since I didn't blog for a long time, I had all these great photos sitting on my computer. So here they all are in one big post. :) This first one is my favorite. Definately some great blackmail material for when he's older. :) He was playing with Spencer's goggles from Lowe's.
Spencer and a carrot from my garden. It is pretty much the only thing that grew besides my sunflowers, but Spencer thought it was cool.
This is Jaxon and his buddy Colton. He was being so silly that day. I think I have a very similar picture of me as a kid like this. lol!

The boys have finally found something they can play on together. Yes!

So a couple weeks ago we to Spencer to the Excalibur. Everytime we drive on I-15 and he sees the castle, he thinks it is the Disneyland castle, so we finally took him to play. He loved it and was rally good and this game where you threw baseballs and had to get them in a row.

Spencer and his winnings!
Jaxon was apparently too tired to pick up his food, or he was just having trouble, so he kept putting his face on his tray and using his mouth! Silly boy!
Okay, that's all my randon pics. You are all caught up for the last month!

Jaxon's 1st Birthday

This is Jaxon's first birthday. We had two celebrations. One with just us on his actual birthday. I made his favorite dinner, chicken broccoli and we had cake of course. Spencer had to help blow out the candle and then have one of his own. :) It was simple but nice. Then on Saturday we had the rest of the family over for a BBQ and cupcakes. It was so much fun. Jaxon got to play with Addison and of course Spencer played with Grisham. It is always great to just hang out and spend time with family. Sadly I don't have many pictures from Saturday. I remembered to charge the video camera but I forgot about my digital camera. Opps!
Thanks again to everyone for coming!
Wednesday's Strawberry cake. Spencer picked it out. He said that Jaxon wanted it.

I love this picture. I just think it is fun and he looks like he is about to attack the cake.

This was so funny. Jaxon wasn't into really tearing the paper. We would try to get him started by tearing a little hole, but then he just kept playing with the toy through the hole. It was cute.

This is Jaxon with his cupcake on Saturday. He was kinda tired by the time we got to cupcakes and was mostly content to just stare at everyone watching him. He did finally eat some cupcake. I am not sure why the color turned out so funny on this picture, but I like it. It reminds me of photos taken in the 80s. :)

This is how present opening went on Saturday. Spencer or Grisham helped open and then Spencer was as excited if not motre excited than Jaxon about whatever was inside. I think he has played with Jaxon's new toys all week. It is kind of funny, but it has made him a lot more willing to share. :)

4th of July

Okay, so I know it has been a long time since I blogged, so to save you all from a million pics. I will just go back to the 4th of July. Here are the pics from our fun weekend with my sister, Kimberly, from Houston and her family.

We started our day by going to Rhodes Ranch to fed the ducks. It wasn't as fun as usual because they were trimming the trees and it was a mess. There also weren't as many ducks as usual, but a promise is a promise, so we only stayed for about 15 minutes. :)

Jaxon was pretty tired already and ready for his nap as you can tell by his thumb!

Look at the mess from the trees! The water was also a lot lower than normal.

This is one of the crafts the kids made. They got to color USA bandanas. I wish I would have gotten Spencer on film saying bandana. It was really cute!

Jaxon sporting his brother's bandana

Spencer was having a blast with his cousins and his uncle Brandon. He still asks for his cousins, he doesn't understand why we can't go see them everyday. :(

We started the evening with some poppers and then sparklers. I just really like this picture of my niece Kalea. I thought the smoke looked really cool.

This was the funniest moment of the whole evening! We went to start lighting fireworks and two of my brothers were out in the street forever while the kids waited patiently on the step. Well, they waited and waited and my brothers could not get the firework to light. Finally David went out to see if he could help and looked at the "firework." Turns out it was just a cone shaped Popper!

The kids were all really good for the fireworks. They would just cheer and cheer! Luckily Jaxon had gone to bed by this point. :)
Well that was our 4th. It was great to see my sister and I am so excited to go to Houston after she has her baby! We weren't going to take our kids, but Spencer loved his cousins so much, we might just have to! Well, this is all I have time to post now, but I promise to post pics from Jaxon birthday by the end of the week!

Time

Where does the time go? Suddenly I turn around and my baby is one. I have a 3-year old who is becoming more and more of a little boy every day. I have been married for 7 years. We have lived in this house for 6 years (we never thought it would be more than 5). And It has been over a month since I really blogged! Okay, so the last one not so big, but really I don't feel like I should be this old. Not that I mind being this old, it just seems crazy to think of how I got here. When you are young you look forward to birthdays and getting older and dating and driving. Now I feel like I live more in the moment. So much that I fequently have to stop and think when people ask me how old I am. Some may just call that spacey or a bad memory, but really I think it is just a matter of importance. My age isn't as important as it was when I was 15 and 11 months. Now suddenly it is my kids age that are calculated by months. It just seems crazy how much faster it goes. As Jaxon turned one this last week, I couldn't help but think of how much faster this has flown by as compared to Spencer. Does it get faster with each kid? Am I going to blink and they will be teenagers? Oh, what a scary thought! Well, enough of my rambling. Here is what has been happening in our lives.
